KPS-BT-C-15-LN-SC IS AN ERBIUM DOPED FIBER AMPLIFIER (EDFA). It is used to amplify an optical signal. To allow amplification of the optical signal, external power provided by pump diodes is required. The number of pumps depends on the requested out power. An input optical isolator prevents back reflection in optical source. Doped fiber is the active media, which is pumped by 980 nm laser diode and provides gain in an optical spectral window. A second isolator prevents amplifier against laser oscillation.
