The Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifier series NP2000RS is designed for single wavelength and DWDM applications in the C-band and L-band.
The NP2000RS is a stand-alone gain block module that requires +5VDC bias and can be ordered with or without an integral heat sink. The dedicated digital and analog circuitry precisely controls the NP2000RS Laser Diode temperature and Laser Diode current using its integrated alarm and monitor functions. All the operating parameters can be controlled through the RS232 serial port and comes with user-friendly software.
As well as the display of alarm information through the RS232 interface, Nuphoton provides external I/O pins that switch at TTL levels on alarm detection. This unit also has constant gain and constant power control schemes, and a dynamic gain stabilization. This offers a Gain Transient settling times of less than 300 microseconds for a 3dB input power change thus providing a constant gain operation for settling to within 0.5 dB.
